“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.” Isaiah 40:28-29 ESV

Dear Heavenly Father – Thank you for this opportunity to read your word and grow. I need this to full me, to change me into who you a want me to be.  I am tired from the enemies’ attacks and I focus on you for renewing and strength. I see the evils coming against my nation and against your people in my nation – I see the war raging against the world and your people in this world. Gather us in your peace while we fight to keep our eyes focused on you. Please strengthen our testimony by being glorified in our lives. Please use it to encourage and heal others. Thank you, thank you, thank you that our lives can glorify you. In the name of Jesus – Amen

Wow. What a crazy year this week has been! What a crazy year this year has been! I am keeping my eyes on Christ. And yet, I am tired. This world is a spiritual battle zone in need of constant prayer – God never fails and I grow tired of it. Maranatha, already, Jesus!!! Maranatha!!! But there is work to be done. Souls to be saved. I also have so much more growing to do in the Lord.

God is letting me be depleted and completely reliant on His mercy and strength. He is a mighty God and He pours His goodness out on me daily.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 ESV

I do not labor in vain and I am heavy with the burdens on my heart for the salvation of the people who do not have a walk with the Lord. But it is also true that His yoke is gentle and easy, His burden is light and gives me rest. Because the battle belongs to Him, the work belongs to Him, the prayers and obedience belong to Him – it is His responsibility.  I cannot fail, because He cannot fail.

I have a full time job and what do I do when someone needs Jesus while I am working? What to do about a hurting heart or a co-worker who Jesus wants to become real to?  What do I do when Jesus says pray right now and my boss says you have a deadline? This week was full! I had peace but I was spinning – yet God was in control and it all got done! (BTW – Obey Jesus first and everything else falls into place)  I think it is the speed at which everything is happening that is making me feel tired.

But today is the day the time is now!!!! I feel the urgency in the spirit. God wants a church who on fire hot – and not luke-warm. Not to mention the release of the next evil spirit is coming soon (maybe even before this posts).  Like fear washed over the world – there is another coming. That is all I know.  Are we ready? Are we ready? Are we ready?

And although God gave me this urgency and God gave me this burden – He says peace and rest when you are tired.

“He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.” Psalm 91:4 ESV
A mother bird tucks her babies up under her wing to love them and protect them.  Under her wing, they do not always know if it is just a hug, or if there is something dangerous she is protecting them from.  The same is true with our Father God.

At those moment when I am worn down and tired – That is when I look forward to doing my Bible study and praying. It refills, refreshes, strengthens and renews.  So if you are tired today – climb under His wing and rest in the Word of God and spend time with Him.  Yes, I know, it is one more thing to do. One more relationship to work on – except when you spend time in the presents of the Lord you allow Him to be glorified in your life.  You are filled with peace and have someplace to dump all your worries and problems with the assurance that He is working on them.

Even the things He has for us and the burdens He gives us are for Him to work on. Not us. We must be well rested to speak when He says to speak and be obedient when He says to do something.  Yes – that is a truth – He gives us a burden for people or for something and our job is to give it back to him in prayer and He accomplishes it through us.

Glory to God – His ways aren’t our ways!!! We cannot fail, because he is infallible.
Commit your works to the LORD, and your plans will be achieved.” Proverbs 16:3 BSB
As we see in Proverbs, work that is committed to God “will be achieved”. Not might be, not could be, there is no maybe here – it WILL BE achieved!

Lord, I give it all to you. I give it all to you. Refresh me Lord and guide my steps – I give it all to you. In Jesus name and for your glory ~amen

God takes care of His work. He takes care of your work, He takes care of everything big and small.  Cast them all at the feet of Jesus and look and see what He will do.
First shed your personal cares, worries, problems, burdens – let go of YOU first because He cares for you and He has a plan.

casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 NKJV

“Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.” Psalm 55:22 NIV

Then cast the bigger things down – Lord, we give you this global pandemic, we give you our government leaders, we give you the evil things coming against the Body of Christ. We give in to your will and give you our will – show us how to pray and how to vote and what to say and what to do – and we give the global problems to you as well – for your glory through your Son!

Give it all to God today. Give up and let Him handle it all. Remain obedient and restful in Him. Take time to enjoy your relationship with Him.

If you don’t already, and today you would like to have a relationship with a God who can communicate with you and be part of your life (and protect you) – one who is full of mighty power and tender love, then please know that I have put the “A, B, C’s of Salvation” in my introduction. 1. Oohhh Psalm 55:22! actually all the scriptures mentioned. Upon reading this part, “”Even the things He has for us and the burdens He gives us are for Him to work on. Not us.”” i immediately had a question, but it was actually answered in the following sentences. 🙂

  2. When you said, “God takes care of His work” you reminded me of Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus”.
